Sterling Two Sided Pendant - Side One

Married metal two sided pendant has Aztec designs on the front and back. It is marked "Metales Mexico" and has an eagle mark with a the number "2" inside. Pictured above, this side depicts an ancient Aztec mythological creature crafted in brass or bronze. The background appears to be inlaid ground turquoise. Through my research of this Aztec symbol, I found nothing. Perhaps you know what this is! Pendant does not marked sterling but may well be. Measures 2 1/8" in diameter and has three metal (silver?) dangles hanging off the bottom of the pendant. In excellent condition, I chose not to clean the patina off the silver but rather leave this option to the buyer.
