"Coro" Earrings with Hearts

(Click here for more pictures) Sold

Presented is a pair of signed "Coro" clip-back earrings Note the Pegasus logo beside the block and script "Coro" a trademark used during the 1950's. This pair of earrings is still on the original white-board. As one can see these earrings may have been a gift as the corner was clipped off, perhaps the price of the earrings. And... there the earrings sat in perhaps Aunti's jewelry box never to have been worn. We all know how that goes. These days people "re-gift" but during the 40's and 50's this just was not done. One would have said "Oh thank you, such lovely earrings, how very thoughtful. I guess I am just sentimental at heart - no snobbery intended! Earrings are silver-tone (may be rhodium base) and do not attract to a magnet. There are three prong-set rhinestones with four glass (feel like glass) blue faceted hearts. Such veriegated shades of blue. They remind me of branches with hearts for flowers. Earrings are in excellent condition. Can be worn or simply added to one's collection of "Coro" fine costume jewelry. Earrings measure approximately 1" in height by 3/4" in width. Rather on the lightweight side. These pieces are getting more difficult to find especially ones that have not been worn. I believe these earrings (judging from the copyright) to be from fifties.
