Carved Wood Swordfish Pin
Here's a real catch......yes it may be a swordfish, but I am not entirely sure, perhaps an exaggerated depiction from the craftsperson's point of view! This fish is made of wood - perhaps teak, with a beady white eye made from an inserted bead . Very nicely cared with great detail. I am somewhat familiar with like pins made in Denmark, however this pin is unmarked. Mr. Fish measures approximately 2 1/2" from sword to tail and 3/4" from the dorsal fin. The pin back is in good working order which is glued to the back. This fish is in excellent condition. |
