Sterling and Amethyst Glass Stone Cuff
Presented is a very intricately designed sterling silver cuff bracelet with a large glass amethyst stone in the center. Cuff is marked sterling. Age is unknown however judging from the design, it appears very old. Four silver leaves hold the stone in place and four more hold the silver wire work surrounding the stone. The cuff bands are engraved with flowers. The bottom of the glass stone is gold coated for what I assume to be protection and to give the glass some depth. The glass stone is in good condition other than a small flea bite on one of the many facets. I noticed this using my jeweler's loupe. The cuff measures approximately 8" from end to end. Stone is 1" in height by 3/4" in width. I did somewhat clean this cuff however there is still some tarnishing in spots that gives it the appeal that only age can bring such a beautiful piece. In very good condition. |
